One Of A Kind is committed to making sure that we are building inclusive and sustainable events. We have lots of work to do and we acknowledge this will be an ongoing process. That said, here are some initiatives we are focusing on as we work towards our goals.
Since 2013, One Of A Kind has partnered with local charities at each of our Winter and Spring events. With the help of our generous visitors, we have raised over $45, 000 to give back to our communities. Click here to see how you can get involved.
When you purchase your tickets to One Of A Kind, consider paying it forward to help a newcomer to Canada to experience the Show for the first time, free of charge. This year, we are partnering with Newcomer Women's Services in Toronto to distribute our Craft Champion tickets. Our goal is to bring 100 new visitors to the Show. Want to be a craft champion? Enercare Centre is a Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design (LEED) certified venue. For more information about Exhibition Place's green initiatives, please click here.
One Of A Kind Initiatives
Take transit: We are actively working with TTC and Metrolinx to offer special discounts to encourage everyone to take public transit to the Show. To learn more about these special offers, please click here.
Bring a water bottle: Stay hydrated and fill up your water bottle, free of charge, at the water truck located at the north end of aisle N.
Bring your own coffee mug: Say no to the single-use coffee cup. All coffee vendors at the Show will accept reusable coffee mugs, so be sure to bring your own. Better yet, pick up your new favourite mug from the Show.
Don't print your ticket: There is no need to print your ticket to the Show. Simply call up your PDF ticket on your phone, or access your ticket via Apple Wallet and we can scan it on your mobile devices.
Get a reusable shopping bag: At the box office, we will be selling reusable shopping bags made from 100% recycled bottles.
Take an upcycling DIY workshop: New this year, our exhibitors are taking their scrap materials and are designing fun upcycling workshops so that we can make more with less. Click here to see the workshop schedule.
All utensils and serve ware from Spectra Food Vendors at the Show are compostable.
