For the past 45 years, the One Of A Kind Winter Show has been a must-attend event, connecting craft conscious shoppers with the best Canadian makers, artisans and designers. Though we are heartbroken that we won't be able to come together in person for the 2020 Winter Show, we are excited to re-create the OOAK experience online.

With our new virtual event platform, vendors will be able to create a digital booth to tell their brand story, showcase products and connect with a wider audience of OOAK shoppers than our in-person event. And with lead generation, messaging, matchmaking and easy Shopify integration, you'll find lots of tools to help you build your business in our new digital space. 

Though our Winter Show will look a little different this year, we're excited to take these next steps in OOAK history and we'd love for you to join us!

Eight weeks of content and programming, including curated wishlists, workshops, DIYs and interactive features to help customers shop One Of A Kind Online this holiday season.

$650 for One Of A Kind Online membership, active from sign-up through to the end of the show.

SHOWCASE COLLECTIONS

Create shoppable LOOKBOOKS by uploading grouped products shots and lifestyle photos and creating linked areas that customers can click through to buy.

SYNC YOUR STORE WITH EASE

One Of A Kind Online comes with EASY SHOPIFY INTEGRATION, so that you can manage OOAK inventory and sales right through your own shop. Shopify products will be synced with One Of A Kind Online, including images, product info and inventory. Visitors will be able to ADD TO BASKET as they browse your products and checkout directly through your Shopify shop.

ALREADY ON SHOPIFY?

Great, you are ahead of the game! In early October, we'll open up your Vendor Profile so that you can connect your Shopify shop and upload all of your branding and marketing materials. You will receive a newsletter with more information when everything is ready to go.

In the meantime, make sure to take advantage of Shopify's Office Hours to meet with a Support Advisor for a 45-minute consultation on how you can optimize your shop. They will go through a rough checklist and review your existing Shopify store with you, highlighting areas where things could be improved from an esthetic, process, trust, or business-growth perspective and make recommendations on how to improve.

NOT READY TO JOIN SHOPIFY?

Vendors who do not want to take advantage of the above offers and prefer to use their own e-commerce platform or no selling platform, can expect the following:

  • If you have ecommerce, but are NOT using  Shopify, you will be able to link your product listing page to the products on your own store. Shoppers can click a VISIT SITE TO PURCHASE button and will be redirected in a new tab.
  • If you are not selling online, your product listing page will function more like a catalogue to showcase your products. If a customer wants to buy something from you, they can use the in-system messaging to contact you directly.

 

REACH OUT TO BROWSERS AND BUYERS

With the LEADS feature, you will be able to connect with logged in shoppers who browse your profile or products through the platform.

You'll only receive a first name by way of identification, but you will be able to see how they are engaging with your pages and send messages with additional information or special promotions to help close sales or encourage repeat purchases.

GET MATCHED WITH NEW CUSTOMERS

We know that shopping One Of A Kind can feel like a big task, whether in-person or online!

So, we are creating a full schedule of content to keep customers engaged and coming back to discover more One Of A Kind Online. We'll also put together a complement of social features, including promotions like our Instagram features from this summer, to keep our customers shopping.

Meanwhile, on the platform, our MATCHMAKER feature will allow customers to answer a few quick questions about their shopping preferences, and get connected with a weekly dose of new makers to know and love right in their inbox.

GET ACTIONABLE ANALYTICS

With the ANALYTICS feature, you will be able to get up-to-date data on how logged in shoppers are interacting with your profile and products throughout the course of the show. Use these insights to run special offers, expand your profile content and "merchandise" your studio to optimize shopper experience throughout the show!

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Do you have an easy DIY that you'd love to share with our shoppers? We are planning a full roster of vendors to host digital DIY Workshops that inspire a love of craft--and connect you with new customers--throughout the show. Participants will receive special promotion of their workshop on our consumer social channels and newsletter. Select participants may also be asked to participate in sponsored workshops for which they will receive additional compensation.

Want to show our shoppers where you make the magic happen? Let us help you show off your space and making process with our Virtual Studio Tour series. Participants will receive special promotion of their tour on our consumer social channels and newsletter.

We are working on a full schedule of content, including themed Gift Guides, Influencer Picks and more, to round out the programming for the nine weeks of the Winter Show.

We are also looking for vendors who are comfortable being interviewed for any potential PR opportunities, so if this sounds like you, make sure to check the Interviews checkbox when filling out your application.

Vendors looking for a little extra exposure for their brand, products or a special promotion will be able to purchase additional advertising opportunities like ad banners, Featured Maker and Featured Product spots, social promotion and more.
