Currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, ceramic artist Alwyn O’Brien (Salt Spring Island, BC) was the first recipient of the One of a Kind Show/Gardiner Museum Emerging Artist Award in 2007. Mini Bio My name is Kristin McDonald and I work under the name GlueSTICK Dreams. I like to examine the ordinary world in an out of the ordinary way. Currently I am making mixed media paintings and paper works. Old buildings, rickety and grand, potion bottles, zeppelins, and anatomical hearts…these are a few of the treats to look for in my latest creations. In 2007 I graduated from the University of Guelph where I achieved a Bachelor of Art with honours in Studio Art and a minor in Art History. I specialized in painting, printmaking and drawing.
