Currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, ceramic artist Alwyn O’Brien (Salt Spring Island, BC) was the first recipient of the One of a Kind Show/Gardiner Museum Emerging Artist Award in 2007. Mini Bio Fixeight (pronouced fix-ate) is a company all about quirky characters just for fun. Life is so much better when it is filled with Marla: a neurotic ghost, Rusty: a toothy bald kid with a giant Smile, Tansy: a mischievous little Sister who's best friend is a Bat named Buster, and a Dancing Diva Spider named Red!! And those are only a few of them!! The Characters live full time at Brooks Farms (a fun/educational working farm) located in Mount Albert Ontario. They stem from an over active imagination belonging to designer Kelly Hubbard. With a diverse background in costuming, merchandising and graphic arts, their personalities come to life through images found on Buttons, Magnets, Shoulder Bags, Plush Toys, T-Shirts, Baby Onesies, Hoodies and More!!
