Currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, ceramic artist Alwyn O’Brien (Salt Spring Island, BC) was the first recipient of the One of a Kind Show/Gardiner Museum Emerging Artist Award in 2007. Mini Bio Lori Skinner was inspired to become an artist by her father, himself a well know wood carver. He began her on the path she has followed since 1982, working full time on her art. Lori has been a part of many group shows and her work has been in many publications. Lori has participated at the One Of A Kind Show for over twenty years, becoming a hall of fame inductee in 2005.
