Needle Felting Workshop with Wendo Van Essen of

Using the popular technique needle felting, you will learn to create a whimsical sheep trophy in this workshop.

Bio: In 2002, Wendo decided to shift her focus from her animation career to pursue her growing interest in textile art. With a curiosity to learn new things, she has taken various classes ranging from wire sculpture to rug hooking. She creates her “vegan taxidermy” by combining various techniques including both wet felting and needling felting.

Statement Tote Bag with Linda Varekamp of

Using solid and/or printed fabric to create appliqué letters, embellish a tote bag with your favourite phrase or short quote.

Bio: stitch & spoke is a line of “freshly stitched finds”, featuring free-motion embroidery and applique, up-cycled fabrics, contemporary motifs and a touch of whimsy! The stitch & spoke product line includes pillows and housewares made from recycled fabrics, eco-friendly t-shirts for men, women and kids and unique accessories.
